Changes | An Update from the Author

For those of you who have been following along with this blog, you might be wondering why it looks slightly different. Well, that is because there have been some recent visual updates, including a new title! I've officially renamed this blog "Created to Create" to better capture my dreams for what I desire for this blog to be.

These changes are small, but sometimes those are the most meaningful kind.

Lately, my creativity has been wild, despite being far busier than I have been in a while. I’ve not been writing, but I’ve been prayerfully dreaming about where God is leading me, specifically for this blog. Gradually, He has been refining my vision for this project alongside my own heart. The details are still shaded by the fog, but little glimmers of light are beginning to shine through.

I think it’s so easy for us to sit back and expect God to just spread His blueprints out before us. Then, when he doesn’t, we end up frozen in fear of the unknowns ahead. Something I’m learning is that God doesn’t often work like this. If He did, we would need to depend on Him in the ways he desires for us to. The intimacy and mystery would be smothered, leaving the romance and the adventure utterly dry. Instead, God unveils the details like small surprises as we commit ourselves to the things He has laid before us now. We do wait on Him, yes, but our waiting is not idle. It’s marked by good works. It is filled with using whatever responsibilities, resources, and talents we have now to glorify Him and lead others to His kingdom. As we pursue our present priorities, God cracks open some windows, perhaps even a few doors, revealing to us in baby steps.

The future can be overwhelming to think about, especially as a young adult (lemme tell you smh), but we enter the unknown with a good and faithful friend, father, and king at our side ♡
